JetBlue Mint remains one of the best values in premium travel, delivering lie-flat suites, thoughtful dining, and a genuinely warm service culture at price points that consistently undercut legacy carriers on the same routes. The catch is fleet inconsistency — the newest Mint Suites with doors on the A321LR are a world apart from the older A321 herringbone cabins and the more compact A220 product, so which aircraft you get matters enormously. There's no global lounge network or alliance to fall back on, and international route coverage is still limited compared to the Big Three's business class networks. But for transcon flying and JetBlue's growing transatlantic routes, Mint punches well above its price class.
Not all Mint is created equal: insist on the A321LR configuration with door-equipped Mint Suites for transatlantic routes (JFK-LHR, JFK-CDG, JFK-Paris) rather than the older A321 cabin or the smaller A220, which lacks suite doors and has a more compact footprint. On transcon flights, the original 'Mint Studio' seats in row 1 (with a fold-out ottoman seat for a companion) remain the most spacious seats in the cabin and are worth booking early. Because JetBlue has no lounge alliance, non-JFK T5 departures mean Mint passengers typically wait in the regular terminal rather than a dedicated business lounge.

Mint's dining program has featured rotating partnerships with notable restaurants and chefs (including collaborations with New York-area establishments like Saxon + Parole and Ilili in past menus), with seasonal, chef-curated small plates served on real china rather than standard tray service. Amenity kits are stocked with Grown Alchemist skincare products, and the newer Mint Suites include closing doors, ample storage, and a more residential feel than the earlier open-suite design. Entertainment runs through large personal seatback screens with free high-speed Wi-Fi (via JetBlue's Fly-Fi) throughout the flight, a genuine differentiator since most competitors still charge or throttle speeds in business class. Bedding includes a duvet and pillow for overnight and transatlantic flights, and service tends to be personable and less scripted than legacy full-service carriers, reflecting JetBlue's low-cost-carrier DNA. On daytime transcon routes, the experience leans more into elevated comfort and privacy than full luxury hard product, while the newest Mint Suites on transatlantic routes push closer to a true international business class experience.

JetBlue opened its first Mint Lounge at JFK T5 in 2024. Other departures use Priority Pass or partner lounges.
